George Michael Announces "Symphonica: The Orchestral Tour"

Today George Michael officially announced that he will go on a European tour this summer. The tour, titled Symphonica: the Orchestral Tour, will be his first since his 25Live shows.

George Michael will perform a carefully chosen selection of his own songs of the past 30 years, and will also cover some of his favorite songs from other artists. The music will be re-worked and re-arranged for the orchestra which will accompany George at each location. This new classical setting will give each song added layers and new nuances.

Symphonica will be both a new musical direction for George, fulfilling a long-cherished artistic ambition and a significant cultural exchange, not least since many of the concerts will take place in specially selected venues.

Tour dates and venues throughout Europe can be found here. Tickets will go on sale Monday, May 16th at 10am.

UPDATE TOUR VENUES: Please remember boyz n girls, this is just the first leg of the tour, next year im hoping to cover the globe...... (George Michael on Twitter)
